SEE THE ELEPHANT
Story by Starkings, Art by Moritat, Cover by Ladrönn

They were genetically engineered to be suprahuman weapons of mass destruction, but now they must walk amongst the people they were created to destroy. Ebony Hide is one of them; an Elephantman. Even when he is befriended by a small girl, Hide is still haunted by his past and is forced to recognize that suspicion and contempt will always be his constant companions.

JUST ANOTHER GUY NAMED JOE

It seems like it's their world, he just lives in it. His species, humans, created the Elephantmen, so why does an average Joe walking the streets of Los Angeles feel like the world he knew has changed so completely?

Reviews

"I was completely sold on this book. Gorgeous art, alternating between charming sweetness and disturbing darkness."

— Tom the Dog , You Know What I Like?

"Great comics storytelling is about a unique vision that grabs your attention and won't let go. This one is worth watching."

— Michael Vance , Comic Book Bin

"As Exhibit A for this being a Golden Age, I give you this little number."

— Jeff Grubb , Grubb Street

"The writing is excellent. The artwork is awesome. The cover art is the icing on the cake. Pick of the week!"

— Fabian , Believe in Comics

"(The) ability to relate to someone or something not quite human is why Elephantmen is an absolute must read book."

— David Martindale , Comic Pants

"The first issue has all the emotion, creativity and stunning artwork of its parent. Artist Moritat shows us what a sad soul Ebony is. Any artist can draw lush cityscapes like we see here; but only a true talent can make us feel so much for an Elephantman in so few pages."

— Chad Boudreau , Comic Readers

"This is pulp sci-fi with a European edge... a future gone wrong made to look nightmarishly beautiful. (4/5 stars)"

— Charlie Hodge , SFX Magazine

"Its mixture of humour, disturbing imagery and genuinely moving moments can't fail to win over the enthusiasm of even the most casual reader."

— Paul Skevington , SFCrowsnest

"Whether you're looking for an interesting theme, a well-written story, a talking elephant, or an armored elephant with an enormous gun, you really need to buy this comic. (4.5/5 bullets)"

— Robert Ring , Silver Bullet Comics

"The futurist noir/paranoid society angle makes this world feel something like Blade Runner meets Taxi Driver - gritty, real, and poised for some serious explosiveness. (4/4 stars)"

— Jim Bush , Static Multimedia
